HYBRAIN at the Brainspiration 2024

HYBRAIN’s coordinator, Wilfred G. van der Wiel, played a key role as Co-chair of the organising committee for Brainspiration 2024, an international conference dedicated to brain-inspired concepts, systems, and materials for innovative information processing.

Held in Groningen, Netherlands, this interdisciplinary event brought together experts from diverse fields—physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, and computer science—to explore cutting-edge research in neuromorphic and bio-inspired computing.

The co-sponsorship of Brainspiration 2024 by HYBRAIN underscored the project’s commitment to pioneering advancements in neuromorphic technology.

This partnership provided HYBRAIN with a valuable platform to share its research, engage directly with international experts, and strengthen its connections within both the Dutch and global communities focused on brain-inspired computing.

By showcasing HYBRAIN’s work at such a prominent event, the project gained increased visibility and fostered important interdisciplinary collaborations, directly supporting its mission to bridge academic research and applied innovations in unconventional computing.

With its emphasis on intelligent materials, analog in-memory computing, and non-digital computational systems, the event offered HYBRAIN an ideal setting for knowledge exchange and networking, further advancing the project’s goals and enhancing its impact in this emerging field.
