E-MRS 2026 Spring Meeting

E-MRS 2026 Spring Meeting

Strasbourg, France, 25-29 May 2026

The European Materials Research Society’s annual spring meeting brought 24 parallel symposia on materials science to Strasbourg.

The event focused on the materials challenges of neuromorphic hardware: memristors, physical reservoirs, resistive switching and brain-inspired devices, with the goal of making AI computing less energy-hungry.

HYBRAIN coordinator Wilfred G. van der Wiel (University of Twente) gave an invited talk in this symposium, “Reconfigurable Nonlinear Computing in Silicon,” presenting work on material learning in nanoelectronic devices, a core approach of the project.
