92nd Workshop on Unconventional Computing (WUC 2026)

Erice, Sicily, 7-13 April 2026

Researchers from physics, materials science, electronics and computer science met in Erice to rethink how we compute, looking beyond the von Neumann model to neuromorphic, in-memory and physical reservoir computing, spintronics, photonics and quantum approaches.

HYBRAIN’s coordinator, Wilfred G. van der Wiel of the University of Twente, sat on the organizing committee. His work on material learning in nanomaterials sits at the core of the workshop’s themes.
